To help people take their next steps in finding and following Jesus.
Hope In The Valley
Our Core Values
We Are Loving
We say, “come as you are”. We love people because God loves people.
…You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:39
By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13:35
We Are Authentic
We keep it real with ourselves and others.
Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. James 5:16
We Are Growing
We say, “come as you are”… “but don’t stay as you are”.
We will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. Ephesians 4:15
We Are Generous
We go out of our way to give ourselves away.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son… John 3:16
We Are Optimistic
We believe it can be done.
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13
We Are Missional
We join God’s mission wherever we are. "For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10
"It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service…" Ephesians 4:11-12
We are united with all believers in proclaiming the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We believe that in divine love God offers to all people forgiveness of sins and restored relationship. In being reconciled to God, we believe that we are also to be reconciled to one another, loving each other as we have been loved by God and forgiving each other as we have been forgiven by God.
God, who is Holy, calls us to a life of Holiness. We believe that the Holy Spirit seeks to do in us a second work of grace, called entire sanctification, cleansing us from all sin, renewing us in the image of God, empowering us to love God with our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength, and our neighbors as ourselves, and producing in us the character of Christ. Holiness in the life of believers is most clearly understood as Christlikeness.
As a sent people, we respond to the call of Christ and live empowered by the Holy Spirit to “go into all the world” witnessing to the Lordship of Christ. Our mission begins in worship, encourages believers toward Christian maturity through discipleship, and ministers to our world through compassion and evangelism.
The Church of the Nazarene holds these beliefs to be true. They are common to churches world-wide.
We believe in one God-the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

We believe that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place
